I have the PS3 and the Wii. They're both great. I don't know why everyone always fights over the game systems. They're both completely different. Nice stamp.

The way people compare then is by the games that are available (For the most part) And ofcourse hte PS3 doesn't have as many games as the xBox 360, its been out a whole year(2 years?) longer!

Technically the PS3 outrates the xBox in every single way, and once the developers get the hang of the new coding system for it properly I can see some amazing games with far superior gameplay and graphics.

I can see what you mean though, they are trying to do the same thing, and they should be, but most people compare them as I have explained.

The PS3 outdoes the Xbox 360 in every single way huh? Hmm...then explain to me why games that are on both systems, the 360 is the ONLY one with the online capabilities? Example: Virtua Fighter 5.

Then there's the online service: PS3 may be free, but Xbox Live gives you more for you actually PAYING for it and is more reliable. I hear the Playstation Network is down a lot and has issues. Typical though, how can you expect something to be reliable when no user is paying for maintenance of the service? Also, to expect "Home" to be better than Live is a joke, no offense: it's nothing more than Second Life+MySpace, and to think people are all "omg" over it makes me shake my head. It's nothing new, just on a game system, but oh well.

Also the fact that nearly all of the trump cards PS3 churns out will be on the 360 with a cheaper price and graphics nearly as good shows the 360 isn't one to mess with.

So it has more games, sure, but it's Sony's fault for being arrogant with its system and having so many problems with its backwards compatibility* which would legitimately make its library much larger* games being canceled for their versions of release, etc etc.

I could go on, and I'm open minded about the game world and its systems: hell I love the PS2, but I really think Sony has screwed up and it's taken them a year to even churn out ONE good game.

Also, just because the PS3 may be superior to the Xbox 360, doesn't mean gameplay will be more intense: it's all reliant on the developers........as time has shown us. You show me a game on the PS3 that doesn't revolve around the words "Grand" in it that has a riveting storyline like Bioshock, Halo 3, or Mass Effect.

In response to the last part of your comment, I'd like to point out a little platform exclusive called Haze, a great storyline and a fantastic game all round, I for one will be in the queue to get it on the day of release. It was originally a cross platform game, but it has since been confirmed as a PS3 exclusive.

I completely agree that Sony has screwed up by being a bit arrogant with its development systems, however they have released another new developer pack to aid the developers.

I never said that you are one that compares the systems purely on games, I said most people do, the amount of times I hear "the 360 is better, just look at the games!"

In regards to the online play, I have personally never had a single problem getting online and staying there on the PS3, I have never played online on a 360 so I don't have anything to compare it to there.

In what way have you come to the concluision that both systems online games the 360 is the only one with the capabilities? FIFA '08 online is fantastic on the PS3, Call of Duty 4 is brilliant both online and off.

I have never believed that the 360 is one not to be messed with, I'm seriously thinking about buying one soon!

"Home" on the PS3 is more than just a meeting area though, its gonig to be a platform from which you can play online games and download all sorts of content and I've heard theres the possibility of there being some sort of cinema like section, so you can stream a whole movie.

I do agree with you about alot of what you have said, and I too am open minded about games consoles, its my aim to own all three next-gen consoles soon, but being a student doesn't make that easy.

Well I just figure the 360 gives a lot more for online alltogether, not just the games.

Thats fair enough, I've not personally taken a huge interest in Home, my little brother has been telling me all about everything to do with it, he's a HUGE PS3 fan, he had it on the day of release (I annoyed him when I paid over a £100 less than he did for mine)

I'm really hoping to get all three, and then with my 42" HD telly and full 5.1 surround sound, I could really have some fun As and when I do get an xBox 360 I'll have to look you up and get your gamer tag! If you ever get a ps3 you'll have to add me on there too, my gamer tag is the same as my name on here

We play online all the time with our PS3 and we haven't had any problems.
